Art Museum

Super excited to finally post this!¬† I will have prints of these three paintings and four original mini paintings available for sale in the Pearl Fincher Museum of Fine Art gift shop, just outside of Houston in Spring,¬† TX. More details on my instagram! And I still have one of each print available for sale with free shipping if you’re not in Houston.

Deadlines and resolutions

Lots going on the last few weeks! ¬†Several deadlines coming quick. ¬†And a couple of REALLY exciting commissions lined up. First thing on the list is getting ready for the 10×10 art show at the Hardy and Nance Street Studios on January 16th. Here’s a link to that Facebook event…

I have something REALLY REALLY exciting coming up as well but I’m going to sit on that a few days :):)

I’m also participating in an instagram art swap. ¬†Here’s my finished piece for that.

And my art related resolution for 2016 is simply to make something everyday. Be it an art journal entry, a sketch on paper or larger canvas piece. Just create something daily. :):)
Do you have any art resolutions for this year??

Layered Escape

I think this was the painting I got the most excited about during my painting frenzy last week. Its the most minimalist abstract I’ve ever done and it taught me more than I expected at every stage. I love how the colors vibrate off of each other and disappear into each other at the same time. This painting along with several others are currently¬†on display in the Kinetic Massage Works Studio in Houston Texas .

Art show entries

I was accepted to enter some work into an art show being put on by a local art/junk/treasure supply store called Texas Art Asylum in Houston. I’m really excited for this opportunity! The theme is based on the tv series American Horror Story, so above is my version of Louisiana voodoo queen Marie Laveau and below is my version of the scene where Myrtle is being burned at the stake. If your in the area on May 30th come out and buy these! Haha the show is part of their anniversary party as well, should be fun!
